Feed The Streetz did our daily breakfast bag deliveries to rough sleepers in Stratford and Ilford throughout the whole of last week. Though it was very exhausting ( normally Friday only) . I was informed by a few rough sleepers that FTS were the only charity/ organisation to visit Stratford Mall since Covid -19 was announced . Big thanks to Hayley a volunteer who was ever present throughout the week your support was very much appreciated. 27th March 20200
Another successful daily food delivery to staff at Whipps Cross Hospital i gave out donated food and hand lotions to seven different wards / departments., Here are some of the activities that FTS and FCGAGA have been doing in the community during the global outbreak of the coronavirus. We have been collecting food from various shops, restaurants and nurseries who unfortunately had to close down. Feed The Streetz has been feeding rough sleepers in Stratford and Ilford on a daily basis since last Friday. FTS has also been feeding the day and night staff at Whipps Cross Hospital on a daily basis in respect and gratitude for their service during these very trying times. And we will continue to do so for as long as possible. FCGAGA have also been delivering food parcels to families in need around East London as things become increasingly financially tight for some people. In order for FCGAGA and FTS to keep doing our bit in the community we are asking for donation of any amount, however small, to sustain staff at Whipps Cross Hospital as well as rough sleepers and let them know that you are thinking about them. Please go to the donation page and make this a reality for us.
., URGENT APPEAL FTS are asking the community to buy sandwiches, sandwich fillings, bread, cakes, bottled water - 500 ml x 12 ,wet wipes, crisps, small packets of tissues, fruit, biscuits and hand lotion for the nurses whose hands are red raw through the constant washing of hands. (URGENTLY NEED) . Please contact me if you can help with these things.. Thank you . Thank you Haslers Accountants for the donation of pens and pads today which will be going to school children in Malawi.
Below Joanna Fry ( Business Development Executive ) with the donated pens and pads. The quiz was held at Chigwell Hall on Wednesday 4th March by Haslers Foundation and FCGAGA was kindly invited as were other charities who have benefited from funds raised over the years by this event. As always HF put on a great and entertaining evening with a meal included. It was great o meet up with other charities and for a evening just relax and have some fun in the way of the big quiz. On a personal note the charity table finished sixth which is our best finishing position to date.
I would like to thank Haslers Foundation for inviting FCGAGA again to this event and for donating loads of lucozade Sport energy drinks with a box full of mars bars which will go to rough sleepers in Stratford and Ilford this Friday morning when Feed The Streetz will do it's weekly outreach. Feed The Streetz recently received an unexpected donation from a local Wanstead resident called Shelley who held a bingo fundraiser at her house raising much needed money for rough sleepers in East London. FTS would like to thank Shelley and everyone who attended this fundraiser .
FCGAGA made its 16th annual visit to Acorn Children's Ward , Whipps Cross Hospital on the 23/12/19 in the afternoon. In attendance were Haslers Accountants / Foundation from Loughton , who have supported FCGAGA in every way possible over the years. We were warmly received as always by the staff on Acorn Ward and were humbled to to go onto the ward giving out presents to sick children who were not well enough to go home for Christmas. I brought along my London 2012 Olympic Torch for I see the torch as a symbol of hope and courage which the sick children on Acorn Ward have in abundance. This year was the most presents that FCGAGA had received in the 16 years that we have been going , thank you ever so much.

Feed The Streetz Christmas breakfast was held this morning at Morrisons, Stratford E15 for rough sleepers in the area.A enjoyable time was had by all who attended and the staff were excellent and made everyone feel most welcome. Morrisons also decorated the table so that it had that extra feel of Christmas to it, Raj the store manager came down especially to have a photo with all of us. It was a pleasure and very humbling for me to sit and have breakfast with the same rough sleepers I normally feed every Friday morning throughout the year A massive thank you to John Wagstaff for organising the Xmas breakfast to be filmed then put on You Tube afterwards.
