It gives me great pleasure to announce that the total raised from my Bucket List Bike Ride stands at five thousand six hundred pounds. This will be equally divided between the Frank Charles Give A Gift Appeal and Cancer Research UK . Once again thank you to everyone across the country who donated and supported me and for helping to raise this grand total . On Thursday 27th August the FCGAGA took several families from Leytonstone on a day trip to Broadstairs in Kent all week the weather was rather atrocious and was raining on the day of the trip much to my dismay. However once we arrived in Broadstairs the weather brightened up and everyone seemed to enjoy the day . A big thank goes out to the Haslers Foundation who kindly paid for the coach so that the trip could go ahead this was much appreciated by all who went. Peace and Blessings _/||\_ Frank Charles. I started my bike ride from Land's End on May 9th 2015 and finished at John O'Groats on May 30th 2015 in all it took me three weeks to complete which was two weeks quicker than I had expected . I found it very hard cycling through Cornwall Devon , Bristol and The Highlands but I have to say the whole journey was an experience of a lifetime . A big thank you to everyone who supported and donated to the cause also a big thank you to everyone in Shrewsbury especially Rick and Amy Buck who kindly set up a web page for me , Sarah from Ferndell B & B for having a room available when everywhere else seemed full and helped raise funds for my bike ride through social media , everyone from Shrewsbury who turned up on the Sunday morning to see me off you'll never know how much that meant to me. Jim Hawkins from BBC Radio Shropshire and BBC Cumbria for the two interviews. Robert Hodges for kindly booking a room ahead for me after I left Shrewsbury. Mey House in Caithness for kindly giving me a free room for the night and making me most welcome and Mackays Hotel in Wick who also did the same. Initially my bike ride was called the Bucket List Bike Ride but after completing it, I have renamed it as the ' Kindness Bike Ride' due to the love and support shown to me from everyone across the country.
Peace and Blessings. _/||\_ |
